Meet JLP Founder Jerry LePre

New Orleans native Jerry LePre, DD (Jesuit and Loyola) has always been passionate about helping others achieve their purpose. Yet, something was missing in his life. After years of successfully working in the corporate world as a top executive (Who's Who of New Orleans), Jerry realized that there was more to life than climbing the corporate ladder. Thus, he has now decided to pursue a career change. Instead of helping investors increase profits, he shifted his focus and used his unique and diversified talents to empower others to achieve their potential and become the CHAMPIONS THEY WERE MEANT TO BE.

During his career, Jerry LePre has developed programs for fortune 100 companies, Ochsner Medical Center (Employee Health), Ochsner Health Plan, BP GOM, Jefferson Parish Chamber of Commerce, River Parishes Chamber of Commerce and the United States Coast Guard. 

His transformational secular and faith-based messages have been featured from coast-to-coast on television and radio programs such as Family Focus and Christian Mix 106 and locally on WLAE, LifeSongs and WHNODT. He has preached at Catholic, Methodist, United Church of Christ, Southern Baptist and non-denominational churches. Jerry has taught educators and staff in Orleans Parish, Jefferson Parish, St. Bernard Parish, St. Charles Parish and St. John Parish schools.

This multi-talented man is an award-winning classical guitarist (multiple superior ratings), percussionist (two superior ratings), singer and songwriter along with being an artist and graphic designer (Seagull Art and Design). He is the creator of the Blue Seagull style of art that is an eclectic expression of the heart and soul of New Orleans. Jerry is the founder of Joyful Life Publishing. Jerry is also a sports historian who was a contributor to the Louisiana Encyclopedia of Sports. 

In 2025, he was granted the Degree of Doctor of Davinity honoris causa for his significant contributions to ministry and service as a faith-based author, speaker and founder of Joyful Life Publishing.
