As an author of multiple books, I understand the many challenges faced by first time authors. Back in 1992, when a well-known publisher agreed to publish my book, I was thrilled. However, I contractually relinquished most of my control regarding rights to my work along with editorial and graphic decisions. 

After having my first two books traditionally published, I decided to self-publish my next book. Although I had a lot to learn, I was able to keep my vision for my book while quadrupling my royalties. 

In the process of self-publishing my book, I made several mistakes. I admit, it was a huge learning curve.

Since I didn’t want future authors who elected to self-publish face these same challenges, I established JOYFUL LIFE PUBLISHING (JLP).
